JONESBOROUGH, GA., November 13, 1864.
General J. B. HOOD:
On arriving here I find General Iverson in doubt regarding force in Atlanta. An escaped prisoner from Kingston informs me that several trains of cars, loaded with troops, passed up to Chattanooga on the 7th. Enemy have been burning something in Atlanta for the last two days.

A soldier who had been taken prisoner escaped near Kingston, and reports that eleven trains loaded with troops had passed toward Chattanooga on 7th.
