Brigadier-General ARMSTRONG,

Commanding Division:

GENERAL: The right of the infantry in position near redwine's and Mount Gilead Church rests on Camp Creek, near old man Sewell's. They are constructing works rapidly. The infantry force from sandtown came to Enon Church, and thence up Wolf Creek to Widow Parker's, and have gone into camp. Large wagon trains, tents, &c., can be seen from commanding position near Griffin's or Dave Smith's. I have not been satisfied by reports from scouts as to the strength of the infantry force on Wolf Creek.

Very respectfully,

L. S. ROSS,

Brigadier-General.
