I received your order to cross my troops on this side. Received orders from General Rosecrans to remain with my troops north of the river. They should be her; we need them badly. I returned early in the morning with pack animals, fixed for a ten- days' scout int he brush. Have reliable information that some ofthe enemy crossed over to this side Saturday night. Todd and his band are in Sni Hills and on Little Blue.
