MAJOR: I am directed by the major-general commanding to inform you that there is now a sufficient number of troops in the city to undertake the guard duties of the district, and he no longer requires the service of the cadets of the State Academy. He begs me to return his thanks to you for the assistance you have rendered him by your prompt response to his call upon your academy for the services of its members, and to assure you that he duly appreciates this new evidence of their patriotic spirit.
