Colonel TAYLOR: Please give directions to have the city guards relieved at night by General Rucker's men, and have the regiments assemble at regimental headquarters, provided with 100 rounds of ammunition, 40 in the boxes, the rest in their haversacks. Direct General Barry also to have his batteries ready to move at a moment's notice.
