GENERAL: The seems to be a movement of some magnitude on our left. They are now pressing Sears' skirmishers. General Sears, however, thinks that the movement is in his front and to his left.

MAJOR: The enemy's line of battle, say one brigade, is still stationary in front of Sears' pickets, with a strong line of skirmishers in front; three lines of battle are formed in front of the cavalry pickets, which are on our left. A heavy column of infantry is moving to our left.
