Colonel R. McCULLOCH:

If enemy turns and goes toward Pascagoula, pursue, attack, and harass him all you can. Maury has been so instructed. Scott is believed to be as far down as Shubuta, with a considerable force of cavalry, to co-operate with you. Thomas arrived here this morning with his command. Cover well the railroad. Supplies for both man and horse are at Citronelle and Chunchula.
