GENERAL: The commanding general directs that you send your wagon train at once across Rutherford's Creek and forward toward Columbia; also, that you have your command unreadiness to march at any moment. Further orders will be sent you.

GENERAL: The major-general commanding directs that you have your division in readiness and move forward at 4 a. m. to-morrow morning, December 24, in rear of Second Division, taking with you all your train and all pertaining to your command.

GENERAL: The major-general commanding directs that you have your division in readiness and move to-morrow morning, December 24, at 3 a. m., taking with you your train and all pertaining to your command, and proceed to cross the pontoon. It matters not what is in your road, force your way through. You will take up the line of march promptly, taking the advance .
