GENERAL: The general commanding directs me to acknowledge the receipt of a dispatch from your adjutant-general, and to inclose to you a copy of instructions already forwarded to you.* It is of the utmost importance that you should co-operate with General Withers in the movement upon Ripley. He further directs me to state that he has information that an empty train is now on the road from Ripley to Rienzi, to which a little attention might profitable be directed.
