Your troops will join Lee as he passes. Leave a guard at Salisbury, to remain until arrival of Federal guard, to rejoin yu by rail.

General Johnston directs, that you turn over to the ordnance officer at Salisbury, immediately, six- sevenths of your arms, accoutements, and ammunition; retaining one- sevent. Let your detachments turn over to the nearest post ordnance officer. Report execution by telegraph.
