Davis 205th Birthday Commemoration This year marks the Sesquicentennial of the Civil War. The Jefferson Davis State Historic Site will mark this event with the 205th Birthday Commemoration of Jefferson Davis, first and only president of the Confederate States of America. 

The park will have two battle re-enactments, food, re-enactors representing Civil War figures, the Miss Confederacy Pageant, a Civil War Flag display, Black Smiths, Tin Smiths, Basket Weavers, Soap Makers, A Battlefield Surgeion, Saddlery, Wood Crafts, Handmade Brooms, Generals of the Civil War, i.e. Robert E. All events are free, except for monument/museum tours. The cost for the tours is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors and military personnel, $5 for children ages 5-12 and Free for children ages 4 & under. Jefferson Davis State Historic Site is a memorial to the famous Kentuckian born on this site on June 3, 1808. Jefferson Davis is known for his service as the president of the Confederate States of America, during America’s “Great War.” He also was a West Point graduate, U.S. Congressman and Secretary of War. Jefferson Davis State Historic Site is located just off Highway 68/80 in Fairview, Ky.
