Lieutenant Colonel A. E. King, assistant adjutant-general, U. S. Volunteers, having been assigned as the assistant adjutant-general of First Army Corps, is hereby relieved from duty in this department, and will report in person to the commanding officer of that corps.

The major-general commanding regrets the loss of his valuable services, while congratulating Lieutenant-Colonel King on his well-merited promotion.
