COMMANDING OFFICER NINTH CORPS:

The commanding general directs that you make all preliminary arrangements prior to receiving orders for attacking with your corps at the points proposed by General Potter and McLaughlen. Hatranft's division will support mcLaughlen, and another division will be sent to support Potter. This order is only preliminary and precautionary. Please acknowledge its receipt.
