Gettysburg Music Muster August 12 and 13

The sounds of authentic 19th-century American music will fill the air in
Gettysburg for the 21st Annual Gettysburg Music Muster. The free events
features ballads, folk songs, popular songs of the day, field music and
marches, along dances popular during the Civil War era.

Gettysburg Music Muster performers this year are the Fort Delaware
Cornet Band, the Irish Volunteer David Kincaid, Steve and Lisa Ball, the
Libby Prison Minstrels, the 77th New York Regimental Balladeers, the
Susquehanna Travellers, the 46th Pennsylvania Regiment Band (Logan’s
Guards), and the Victorian Dance Ensemble.

The music will begin on Friday afternoon, August 12, underneath the tent
on the front lawn of the Gettysburg National Military Park Visitor
Center with the Libby Prison Minstrels at 1 p.m., Steve & Lisa Ball at 2
p.m., and David Kincaid at 3 p.m.

Performances continue on Saturday, August 13, both inside and outside
the park Visitor Center, at the courtyard of the Dobbin House, located
at 89 Steinwehr Ave., and the Pennsylvania Memorial, Tour Stop #12 on
the park map.  Saturday’s schedule is:

The Music Muster will end Gettysburg National Military Park’s summer
programs season, which offered more than 130 programs a week. Fall
programs begin August 14.
