General may be instructed to have a large portion of his stores at Atlanta appropriated to this department, and the officer in charge of them directed to fill the requisition of General Bragg's chief commissary, especially for meat.

Hereafter, under the columns of "effective total," in the reports from this army, extra duty men and men in arrest will not be included. The "effective total" must include only the fighting field force-those who are carried onto the field of battle with fire-arms in their hands.
