MAJOR: The general directs me to state that he desires to have your command ready to move, perhaps as soon as daylight to-morrow. If any ammunition is wanting, procure it to-night. Arrange the companies now separated so as to perform the best service.

GENERAL: Notice has been given to the other troops of this command to be put under arms with a day's rations. The general commanding wishes you to continue you work on the trenches as heretofore, the above notice being given that you may be prepared for any movement that may take place.
