The following is the result of to-day's election in the First Division of this corps: Eighty-first Pennsylvania Volunteers, Lincoln, 23; McClellan, 44. One hundred and fortieth Pennsylvania Volunteers, Lincoln, 147. McClellan, 55. One hundred and eighty-third Pennsylvania Volunteers, Lincoln, 58; McClellan, 47. Fifth-third Pennsylvania Volunteers, Lincoln, 118; McClellan, 75. One hundred and forty-fifth Pennsylvania, Lincoln, 127; McClellan, 72. One hundred and sixteenth Pennsylvania Volunteers, Lincoln. 54; McClellan, 58. Twenty-sixth Michigan Volunteers, Lincoln, 122; McClellan, 28. Fifth New Hampshire, Lincoln, 26; McClellan, 29. Total majority for Mr. Lincoln. 334. Returns of Second Division will be forwarded as soon as received.

CIRCULAR.] HEADQUARTERS SECOND ARMY CORPS,

November 8, 1864.

A cessation of hostilities for the burial of the dead will probably take place from 9 a. m. to 10 a. m. this day at the point only where the skirmish of the night of the took place. If the proposed arrangement is effected it will be known by the dispatch of a white flag on Fort Morton.

There will be a cessation of hostilities between 9 and 10 a. m. this day, during which time no man will be permitted to go outside the picket-line.

The truce with the enemy having now ceased, the general commanding directs that the ordinary firing be resumed, and especially that it be kept up as much as usual after dark.
