GENERAL: Brigadier General B. S. Roberts, U. S. Volunteers, has been ordered to report to you for duty. The major-general commanding desires that unless you have other duty for General Roberts, in your opinion more important at the moment, that he be placed in command of the positions of Forts Macomb, Pike, and Ship Island.
