IV. Company M, Ninth Cavalry Missouri State Militia, will proceed without delay by rail to Mexico, Mo. The commanding officer will detail a sufficient guard to report for duty, guarding commissary stores at Warrenton and the bridge over the Perrugue. Quartermaster's department will furnish transportation.

Three hundred Indians attacked Valley Station to-day; burned 100 tons Government hay, drove off 650 head of cattle of Moore & Co. Lieutenant Kennedy, commanding, with sixty men fought them and are pursuing. Twelve Indians killed. Only 100 soldiers on the entire route, 190 miles.
