From the information Captain Leeper brings me, and from all that I can obtain from citizens coming here from Northern Arkansas, I am satisfied the rebel leaders in that section are making an effort to get all their men into camp at this time. Captain Leeper thinks they are me some more troops, so that I can keep scouting parties in that direction. There are so many outposts to hold that I have no men left for scouting purposes.
