In my dispatch of 19th great injustice was done to Lieutenant-General Polk. Papers just received from him show that he did not interfere with procuring supplies for this army, but put a stop to criminal proceedings.

CIRCULAR.] HEADQUARTERS HARDEE'S CORPS, Dalton, Ga., April 21, 1864.

The battle-flags of this corps, known as "the Virginia battle-flag," will have inscribed on them the number of the regiment and the State to which it belongs; the number in the upper angle formed by the cross and the name of the State in the lower angle.
