Commanding Division:

By direction of the major-general commanding army, on being relieved by the division of General Logan, you will move to Corinth via Bolivar, with all the regiments of your command now in this vicinity, taking with you six days' rations. The troops which have been detached to General Sullivan will for the present remain under his orders.

On arriving at Corinth you will report to Brigadier General G. M. Dodge. The baggage belonging to the detached regiments should be sent to them on your arrival at Bolivar. The march will be conducted with good order, allowing no straggling or depredations.

Scouts just into Corinth from south and east report enemy moving east from Jackson and north on Mobile road, fortifying near Meridian. Have been moving several days. This is not confirmatory of Richmond report. Some of Bragg's forces are passing south of line of Athens and Nashville road.
