III. The Fifteenth Army COprs, Major General John A. Logan commanding will move forward toward lauringburg with the head of column reaching that point. The Seventeenth Army Corps, Major G en. F. P. Blair commanding, willmove to Gilopolis. General Blair will send forward his mounted infntry and secure Compbell's Bridge. Theseheadquarters will be established diuring to- morrow at or near Lauringbirg.

IV. Corps commanders will endeavor to have coloected for each division and to keep constantly on hand at least fifteen days' supply of fresh beef on the hoofs, and to have at least that amount onhand at the close of the campaign. In collicting cattle care should be taken to collect those of good size and only such as will make good beef.

GENERAL: I have the honor to recive your note per Major Woodhull. The general commanding desires me to say that General Blair reports that every house on his line of march to-- dy was pillaged, trunks broken open, jewlry, silver, &c., taken. An order on the subject will be issued to- morron night. In the mentime he asks you to take suficent measures to prevent such outrages, and be sure that the division commanders know the officers in charge of the foraging parties.
