You will march your division past General Carr and mass it on the right of the Sixth Corps, leaving room for General Prince between you and General Carr.

General PRINCE:

You will move your division in rear of General Birney and mass between him and General Carr.

Commanding Third Corps:

GENERAL: Your dispatch is received. General Sedgwick is now moving forward on the old turnpike. As soon as he has cleared the road you will follow him, unless otherwise directed before then.

CIRCULAR.] HEADQUARTERS THIRD ARMY CORPS,

As soon as the Sixth Corps moves on so as to clear the road, General Birney (First Division) will move on, keeping closed up to the Sixth Corps trains.

General Prince (Second Division) will follow the First Division, keeping well closed up.

Division commanders will issue their ammunition as soon as possible.
