Today in History:

April 29, 1863

Cloudy. Indications of rain. Won't go to the farm today. Had a meeting at my house of the Board of Trustees of the Theological Seminary with a view to investing some funds in their treasury. Attended a lecture at the Church, where I was accosted by a man I did not know. He proved to be Geo. Rawhauser, a young man who left here years ago and now shows signs of age. I am rapidly increasing in years, soon I will be among the past.
