Letters - Personal Letters

Soldiers from Quincy who fought in the Civil War wrote letters to mothers and fathers, brothers and wives. In many cases, the people who got those letters turned to the town’s weekly paper, The Quincy Patriot, to publish them for all to read. On April 12, 2011, the 150th anniversary of the bombardment of Fort Sumter, The Patriot Ledger is publishing some of those letters, along with two related audio slideshows.
