HEADQUARTERS TWENTY-FIRST OHIO VOLUNTEERS,
Murfreesborough, Tenn., April 27, 1863.The within-named soldiers are as worthy if not more so than those complimented by the Secretary of War. They made their escape and endured unaccountable hardships and privations for weeks while in the enemy's country before reaching the Federal lines. They also participated in the battle of Stone's River and behaved with great gallantry.
