SIR: I have the honor to state in reply to demand for information concerning the arrest and detention of citizens of the State of Kentucky not taken in arms that I have at no time arrested or caused to be arrested or held in custody any such citizens of Kentucky. Information on that subject can be obtained of Major R . M. Corwine, aid- de- camp, Cincinnati, Ohio, and the commanding officer at Camp Chase, Ohio.
