In answer to your inquiry I have the honor to state that Dr. Carter W. Wormerly, a political prisoner now in confinement at Fort Delaware, was arrested at his home on the Upper Pamunkey for giving aid and information to the enemy. His residence is such that if now released he could do no injury to our cause under existing circumstances.
