Selected letters of SGT Ambrose Doss

Some 50 letters to his wife, Sarah, and friends that were written for SGT Ambrose Doss by his pards in the 19th Alabama Regiment have survived and been transcribed. Here we list seven of these letters that span the years 1861-1864.

• Letter #7 - Jul 6, 1864, along the Chattahoochee River, notification to Sarah of her husband's death
