Camp Meetings
The Major Fontaine R. Earle Camp meets the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM at the Shiloh Museum in Springdale, Arkansas. Our meetings usually include a short business meeting followed by a program, which covers areas of interest to our group. Camp Activities
Our camp participates in several activities throughout the year. We march in local parades. We set service markers at the graves of known Confederate soldiers. We also work with local education facilities as well as with the general public to insure that the correct history of the South is presented. Even though our organization in not a War Between the States reenactment group, several of our members do participate in reenactments and living history presentations.

Membership
Membership in the Sons of Confederate Veterans is open to all male descendants of any veteran who served honorably in the Confederate States armed forces. The minimum age for membership is 12 years old. For more membership information please contact the above listed camp officers. Camp History
The Major Fontaine R. Earle Camp #1453, Sons of Confederate Veterans, held its final organizational meeting in mid 1986, at the Fayetteville, Arkansas, Public Library. This first meeting was organized by members of the Mildred Lee Chapter #98, United Daughters of the Confederacy. The required ten members were soon found and on September 16, 1986, an application for a camp charter was forwarded to the Arkansas Division of the Sons of Confederate Veterans in El Dorado, Arkansas. Our application was approved in January 1987, with fourteen original charter members, including Fontaine R. Earle, the grandson of our camps namesake.
