Movement may not take place for week or ten days yet, but be vigilant.

COLONEL: Information has been received from Vicksburg that troops are moving to Memphis, also to Baton Rouge. Keep your pickets vigilant toward Baton Rouge and Bayon Sara, and hold your troops ready to move at a moments' notice in any direction. Keep me informed, but keep a sharp lookout in front and your pickets in position.
