April Civil War Events To Feature Downtown Walking Tour

 

CorinthMSMarch 4, 2011:  The Corinth Area Convention and Visitors Bureau will be sponsoring complimentary Civil War walking tours each Tuesday evening from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. on April 5, 12, 19 and 26th. The tour will begin at the Crossroads Museum located inside the Historic Depot building at 221 North Fillmore Street.  After a brief visit to the Museum and introduction, a living history tour guide will lead the group on a moderate one-mile stroll of the historic landmarks and site of Downtown Corinth’s business and residential districts al the while sharing stories of the struggles and triumph of the Civil War.  The group will be treated to a behind the scenes, after hours visit to the Verandah/Curlee House, which is currently closed to the public while awaiting renovations.  Space for each tour is limited.  For more information, please call 1-800-748-9048 or go to www.corinth.net.
