17th Annual International Rock-A-Billy Music Festival

On August 5 and 6, 2016, artists from Sweden, Norway and the United States will be performing at the 17th Annual International Rock-A-Billy Music Festival in Jackson, Tennessee. On Friday, August 5th, Ulf Nilsson and The Cadillac Band (with Gold Record Recording Artist from Sweden will perform at 7 p.m. at the International Rock-A-Billy Hall of Fame at 105 North Church Street in Downtown Jackson. Ulf Nilsson and his Cadillac Band have toured Europe, most Scandinavian countries, and the United States. The band is composed of some of the world's finest musicians who are International Rock-A-Billy Hall of Fame Inductees. On Saturday, August 6th, the festival will continue at The VFW Post 6496 on Airways Blvd. at 7 p.m. Entertainment will feature The International Rock-A-Billy Hall of Fame Band, Sun Recording Artists Rayburn Anthony, Bobby Joe Swilley, Floyd Curtis, and Memphis hot recording artist Gary Abbot. Entertainment will also be provided by Janne Lucas, Terry Wayne and Rebecka Karsson with Hall of Fame induction ceremonies of Jerry Scheff, Terry Wayne, and the Cadillac Band. Rebecka Karlsson will receive the Rising Star Award. Admission is $10.00 each night.

The International Rock-A-Billy Hall of Fame and Museum is a resource center dedicated to preserving and promoting Rockabilly Music. The Hall of Fame recognizes the pioneers of Rockabilly music while the Museum displays the memorabilia reflecting its heritage. The Hall of Fame and Museum is open Monday-Thursday 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Friday and Saturday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Line Dance classes are held every Monday and Tuesday at 6 p.m. For more information on the Festival and the Hall of Fame and Museum, call 731-427-6262
