1º Sorry my bad english, I'm from Portugal and I'm only 14 (i don't know if i can say this )
2º If some one can translate my bad english to a good english please do me that favour.
3º What is the meaning of war? Not only the civil war but... war (WWII for exemple).
I'm not a hippie or punk that loves war, im a kid that loves History about War.
I think that in all wars people from the 2 sides have your own interests: power, money, own ideas, religion, etc.
AND 1 OF THE SIDES IS GOOD!!!
What that means?
I want to kill someone and someone else tries to kill me so i can't kill the other.
Who is the bad guy?
Me?
And people who are forced to participate in a war?
What do they fight for? Are they good or bad?
"The man has to establish an end to war, otherwise the war will establish an end to mankind." (John F. Kennedy)
"In peace, sons bury the fathers, in war, fathers bury sons." (Herod)
The Meaning of War is mainly all political now. Factions and Just about as many meanings as there are people. There are no truly exact meanings as change is the only sure thing. And that cant be nailed down to a word. This question is about as difficult as discovering How the Universe Started. Experts all vary. What does that question mean to you Over in Portugal? It sounds like you are doing a lot of thinking and that is great.
Well almost everything I know came from (besides books) of video games.
You realize that many people die in wars and some of them have nothing to do with it (as the case of the Jews in WWII).
That's bad. I also know that there are generals, rallies etc, that cover catastrophic deaths, accidents and other giants like. I am not saying that always happens.
But after the families lose their sons in the war without knowing what has happened to them?
I wish it would go away, do not know how, but I would like.
We are lucky to be able to read books about these horrors are ancestors lived through and hopefully learn a better way. War is not pretty. And I am glad I dont have the personal experience in a war to say. I seen enough people suffer from that kind of stuff to realize. I dont want that first hand knowledge. But thanks to those who sacrificed.
