Default New Civil War Movies

Does anyone know if Ron Maxwell and Ted Turner plan on making a new movie for "The Last Full Measure", by Jeff Shaara?

negative... They didn't make enough money from "Gods and Generals" so the plans for the "Last Full Measure" have been dropped.

Default Civil War documentaries

Last week, I watched two documentaries on the Civil War, both of them were on the Military Channel. Both of them were very good. I set my Tivo to auto record on keyword : Civil War and lo and behold two days later I had both documentaries to watch, talk about timing.

Funnily enough it was Gods and Generals got me hooked on the subject watched Gettysburg and ejoyed that especially Pickets charge.Re-enactment people made it very realistic and thought it captured the emotion and a real sense of the event.Have also watched Glory about 54th Mass and their herioc but futile attack on Fort Wagner.Matthew Broderick again payed tribute to the re-enactment society for their help decribing them as living historians their knowledge of uniforms, firearms, battles and so forth. Was also hoping for a third movie to tie things up would seem appropriate.
