Rasch. Born in 1950, I well remember the centennial. It was what started my lifelong interest in the civil war. I've been through Shelby Foote's classic. Currently I am working on Allan Nevins series. As a former artilleryman, I am always interested in civil war artillery-its genesis and organization. I am reading Burlingame's Lincoln which has led me to, first Herndon's Lincoln and associated to this, first hand accounts of war time experience. I wore out one set of Ken Burns Civil War and am working ion my second.
