when tennessee succeeded from the union, scott county, tn. pulled away from tn. becoming its own independent state. you will see that in the knoxville news of may 1987 the gov. of tn. let scott county back into the state. look it up..i think the gov. was lamar alexander..

I heard about that. Never looked into it though. I know they had stayed loyal to the Union and all that.
