The U.S. World War I Centennial Commission has scheduled a press event to formally announce the selected design concept for the national World War I Memorial design competition.
Which you can read about here .

The Memorial is a national-level one, a la the Vietnam Wall, Korean War or WWII Memorials, and it will go up adjacent to the National Mall.

This will be the largest civic tribute to our veterans in a decade.

4.7 million Americans served in World War I, 116,516 were lost.

The five finalist design concepts can be viewed at

What do you think of the new monument's implementation and design? Which design do you want to see built?
