Yeah Civility C I agree but if they can pass inspection and march load and shoot I say more power to em! I fought with a girl over a period of two years and in the ranks with her a couple of times before I realized it. She was really good (she had a real husky voice and this is what really fooled me). I even argued with some of my pards when they told me she was female. Told em they just weren’t secure enough in their masculinity to be able to admit that a teenaged boy could be cute!
Most of the females that pulled it off in real life though were pretty homily! _________________ "The love of money is the root of this, as of many other evils. The quarrel between the North and South is, as it stands, solely a fiscal quarrel."

True, some do it alright, but there have been too many times where I have been to reenactments and seen too many females that were obviously female, in uniform. At the Bull Run Reenactment this year at Cedar Creek, I counted atleast five that were clearly women in uniform. I think its great that they honor those women that did fight, but don't make it obvious....its just not authentic. _________________ Long Live the Union!!! |

Yes, I am sad to say that most women do not feel the need to play the role properly. I have seen some women who didn't put their hair up and didn't try to hide their... curves shall we say. It is a sad fact when non-reenactors complain about having women on the field, because it messes up the whole "time travel" effect. _________________ Formerly southern_belle1861

Are you speaking to me? If you are, I think you should make yourself a little more clear as to what you're referring to. And Possum is right. A bit of a delay. Did you get a little bored and look up an old thread to start a fight? _________________ Formerly southern_belle1861
