Hello there,
My name i Cody and I have been doing a lot of research for a short screenplay I am writing (well have written). At first, I knew I wanted my story to be set during the Civil War. I didn't know much about the conflict, but when I began researching the more fascinated I became. Thus my main reason for joining here.

Anyway, on to my question.

One of the characters in my script, named Robert, explains to another soldier about his story at Bull Run. I researched the battle and came across the story of Blackburn's Ford. I know Brig. General Tyler and his troops were to head to Centreville to find the Confederate's flank. My question, in so many words is, did Tyler continue on to Blackburn's Ford on his own will or was he ordered to continue if he didn't find the flank by Centreville?

Basically, was Tyler too stubborn to head back like commanded originally or did he continue to Blackburn's Ford on command?

I hope that makes sense. Unlike a lot of films, I want to make this one historically accurate, or at least as close as I can get. Thanks. Smile
